It can be hard work making the world.
It would be much easier to – what?

Hieronymous Bosch saw what people
could do to each other.

The suicide learned to do it
to himself.

We were born to ignorant people
who taught us what they knew.

When the child comes seeking a
word or a smile – what do I do?

Everything made seems to
come from mud.

Let Vermeer’s tender girl melt my heart?
Admire the ardent young man?

They may need to know they have this
power to make the world.
