| Eight men attended each brunch in August and September at Dean Jurek's and Andy Mickel's homes. The next 2 brunches will be a little different: Sunday, October 21st at the Men's Center, 3249 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, 612/822-5892, will kickoff our 25th anniversary celebration and open house! The Sunday, November 18th brunch at Rick Gravrok's 2925 Monterey Ave S, St. Louis Park, 952/926-6655. (on the west side of Lake Calhoun, off Lake St.). will also be open to women.

(bring something to share/cook up). Men hang out together and enjoy good food with no agenda whatsoever. These brunches are
open to all men from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m; plan to come and chat and eat for a 1/2-hour to 2-hour period anytime . --inevitably some men stay on until 2 p.m. - Andy Mickel, 2001-09-22.
Mark your calendar for the Twin Cities Men's Health and Well-Being Symposium all day, Saturday, October 20th. The next Minnesota New Warrior Training Adventure Weekend, produced by the Mankind Project Minnesota , is scheduled for this fall: November 2-4. Two no-cost, 1-1/2 hour "Open house" gatherings in men's homes are scheduled to help men learn whether this experiential-and-ritual process would be useful to them. The Minnesota Mankind Project's September 14-16 Boys-to-Men Rites of Passage for boys 12-16 was a tremendous success. Challenge and gratitude abounded. Charlie Borden did a tremendous job of coordinating. Followups include regular meetings with assigned mentors and support for families of the boys for a year. Jon Harper's Festival of Fathers held on Saturday, August 11, noon-4 at North Commons Park was a resounding success with more than 200 in attendance. - Andy Mickel, 2001-08-15.
