Anger and Intimacy -- A Male Perspective
Presenter: Bob Anderson
Wednesday October 4, 7-9 pm
Open to Men Only

Anger can be a barrier or a bridge to intimacy. How can we own it and express it in ways that deepen rather than damage relationships? This presentation builds on the Men’s Center’s Anger Management program and looks at a positive definition of anger, harmful distortions of it, and connections with shame and intimacy-from a male perspective. Lecture, discussion and sharing of experiences will be supplemented by group activities designed to heighten awareness, facilitate healing and develop helpful assertiveness and communication skills. This is an excellent introduction or review of some key concepts found in the Men Helping Men with Anger program.

Bob Anderson is a writer, former teacher and veteran facilitator with the Men’s Center’s Anger Management program.
